We are racing towards an apocalypse of our own creation

So, 3 weeks ago Rachel and I had to meet our DJ that we had booked and hired, they had set the time and place of the meeting in the letter they sent us. They are a Father and son team.  So we were there, 20 mins later, they are still a no show, so I call the father who was in Melbourne and blames the son for not turning up, he calls his son who is then there 10 mins later.... So thats 30mins of my time wasted, but I can be patient, and he assured me the next meeting would be all good.

So tonight I go to the next meeting, I busted my arse to get there on time and bring everything needed, 15 mins later still no one there, so once again I call, the father once again is in disbelief...... he tried to call his son, couldnt get through to him...... so now the father is going meet me personally on Friday.

Total time wasted = 1 hour, plus alot of stress and inconvenience...... im thinking i'll ask for a $50 discount, what do you all think ?  

Do you know what its like, when you suspect something is going on, but you dont know what........ well imagine having that gut feeling and then timesing it by 100 because your job is to be suspicious, so not only do you have your gut telling you something is up, all your training confirms it.  This is hard when its something in your personal life, and not in your work life.

So I know SOMETHING is going on, just not what.......

I need to subject some people to direct questioning I feel........

Anyways, very yucky feeling.........

So my sister and my two nephews arrived on Tuesday for the upcomming wedding.

I have travelled upto Sydney to see them all, more specifically too make sure my nephews know who I am at the wedding. My eldest nephew Finn is 5 and is pretty good, he used to be quite mischevious but seems to have calmed down alot, he is currently sitting chatting to me whilst i post... im not very good at amusing him it seems. My youngest nephew Zac is 2 and a bit, and wont shutup, he strings full sentences together although it seems he is mainly parroting us. It was important for me to see Zac as last time I saw him he was a baby, so this is his first chance at meeting me....... he seems fairly good at calling out "Uncle Neil" in his strong yorkshire accent.

Meanwhile, they were up at 5.30.... ITS SATURDAY !!!

My sister and I went to see Qauntum of Solace last night, first thing I have done with her by ourselves for aout 10 years, it was good, but she likes to fill the silence LOL jury is still out on the movie though.

I'll drive back to Canberra this arvo.

So last night before we went to kick boxing I got quite angry and had to vent at Rach. My mother had rung me and started talking to me about wedding stuff, and I had no idea what she was talking about, because apparently her and Rach had a conversation last week, and no one deemed it appropriate to inform me as to the content. In addition, it seems my loverly bride to be has also been organising stuff with her sister without my knowledge ..... ARRRGGHHH ...... so I put my foot down and had a little rant to try and regain some control of something that clearly and directly involves me ! 

So last night, we had a briefing to catch me up on all the details I was not well informed on. I feel much better now.

Spent sometime this morning on organising a few important things, like my bucks party paintballing day, off to fighter practice tonight because I have a bye for basketball.......

So, im new to live journal.....

The big thing is its 24 days till I get married...... the stress is incredible now

I havent stressed up untill this point, but now there is all the final details that need to be arranged, everyone seems to have 50 questions of me, and im running out of money FAST !!!! ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH no wonder people employ wedding planners.

In addition, work has been uber uber busy.

I had a great time in Adelaide though at crown, Sir Phil did so so well I was so nervous for him, he did himself proud and fought with honor, integrity and skill, and was the epitemy of chivalry.
